This is my blog post on my reflection on sixth grade. I will be writing about learning, challenges, work habits, and goals for seventh grade.Through this process I have felt that this will be important to others who read this. I think it is valuable to reflect on my year because it shows myself and others about me and my experiences.
A piece of work and learning that I am most proud of is this Literature Circle 2. I am specifically proud of this particular one because it shows how I have learnt to improve my writing by thinking outside the box and using examples and evidence from The White Mountains.
My greatest challenges are working with other people in a group that I do not enjoy but usually I contribute by doing the parts that I have to do to get it over with. This made me feel unsophisticated and being bossed around and not being able to participate in giving ideas. This usually happens when I am with a particular group with different types of people who think my ideas are in valuable. One of the biggest challenges working in a group was getting along with the people who I am partnered with.
A few ways I have grown as a learner is that I am more comfortable working independently than working in group, and if it is a presentation project than I would not be the first one to volunteer. Despite that I am much more comfortable presenting in front of the class and am able to deal with groups simpler. I have learnt about myself as a learner through watching others present movies/power points because I am best learner through visual learning.
My behavior is satisfactory in class because I usually "zone out" or get distracted by other things that disrupt my learning. Although I do usually keep quiet and do not disrupt the class. I feel that this is important for me to understand my mistakes. My participation is satisfactory because I usually do not raise my hand even if I know the answer to the question given. I usually do not do this because I do not like to draw attention to my self. For organization I put needs serious help because in the past I have had messy lockers, dissorted homework assingnments, and, horrible calenders. I feel that this is was all a very big problem with me in school although I could of avoided it when it did not even begin. My effort in class was satisfactory because when I do need to do assingnments I do not give it my 100% best and sometimes fail.
My two personal goals for Grade 7 next year would be to be more organized and see what the homework is everyday, and I will pay attention in class, raise my hand and, anwser a question if necessary.
Always remember your own locker combinations, try and hand in your homework in on time, and if the internet is down you should save our work on a thumbdrive and turn it in on the due date.
